A Rainy Day

I had a piggy bank
Small porcelain
Each penny inside
Was wrapped in
A dream
To be saved for
Another day

The piggy bank
Is full now
Fat and porcelain
So all my dreams
Are tucked up
Safe inside

I always planned
To smash it
Setting those
Little dreams free
All at once in
A fantastic swirl

Now I’m happy
To cherish them
Infant ideas
Never lived out
But mine and
Kept safe
In case I never
Have anymore
